Buzz18 your gateway to Bollywood’s latest, announced the results of its Bollywood Neta poll. This poll saw our handsome hunk Salman, lead the way with 44 per cent voters cheering for him and preferring him as the next neta!
Salman Khan breezed past the other nine nominations in the poll. The others toppers were the remaining popular Khans. Aamir Khan came a distant second with 20 per cent of the users voting for him and Shah Rukh Khan came third with a mere 13 per cent votes.
While the unfortunate, Abhishek Bachchan and Aditya Chopra came in last with no one voting for either of them! Wonder what Ash and Rani have to say to this.
Commenting on the poll results, Chandrima Pal, Editor Buzz18.com said, “The idea was to have fun. All the reasons for having these particular names were quite wacky. Adi and Abhishek needn’t feel offended. In fact they should log on to the site to find out just why we put them on the list!”
Sample the reason for having Ram Gopal Varma in the list! Not surprisingly Varma won only 1 per cent votes, Chandrima Pal, Editor Buzz18.com said, “Even if the ruling party is not interested in hiring his services, we’re sure the opposition definitely would. All Ram Gopal Varma has to do is to walk behind someone for the guy to get sacked!”
Amongst the ladies there was a bizarre tie- of sorts between, hold-your-breath, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mallika Sherawat! The chosen ladies garnered 2 per cent votes each form the users.
The Bollywood Neta poll went live on January 24, 2009, wherein it gave its users a chance to vote online for their favorite Bollywood candidate straight to the Prime Minister’s chair. The poll will also throw some interesting insights on those people view as a responsible leader of the nation among the Bollywood celebrities.
Like all the popular polls conducted by Buzz18, even this poll threw open some interesting facts and figures, as people across the world voted for their most preferred Bollywood celebrity on Buzz18’s ‘Bollywoood Neta’ poll.
