Buzz has it that it was his foremost love for painting that got him interested in antiques. The actor was reportedly reading a book on painting when he read about the art of choosing the right frame for a painting. The book also talked about the power of antique frames.

What came next is any body’s guess. The actor splurged huge bucks to get antique frames. Confirming the news, a source told a daily, “The first antique he purchased was an old classic portrait frame. As he started looking for interesting frames, he developed an interest in other pieces as well. He keeps most of the stuff he collects at his Panvel farm house.

There have been occasions when Salman has called up a friend and told him to get the artifact that he wants.”
